Subject: Request for Support for My Son with Autism and Assistance for Relocation Opportunities

Dear Bill,
My name is Zamiq Aslanov, and I am writing to you from Azerbaijan. For over ten years, I have worked at the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), where I have been involved in ensuring the safety and well-being of communities through demining operations.
I am married and have a young son. I would like to share with you a bit about his situation, which is the main reason for this letter.
My son, Eynur Aslanli, was born on December 19, 2016. On September 29, 2021, he was officially diagnosed with Childhood Autism, Kanner Syndrome (F84.0) at the Mental Health Center under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Since his diagnosis, we have enrolled him in therapy programs at the State Autism Center in Baku, where he has made some progress through consistent treatment.
Unfortunately, I must express my deep concern about the lack of appropriate educational infrastructure for children with autism in my country. There are no specialized public schools for children like my son. A few private institutions do exist, but the annual cost ranges between $25,000 and $30,000—an amount far beyond our financial capabilities. Public schools often decline to admit children with autism due to limited resources and support systems.
I humbly appeal to you for financial assistance or any kind of support you can provide. Your help would mean the world to our family and could truly change the course of my son's life.
Additionally, if there are opportunities for families like ours to relocate to a country where children with autism are provided with adequate care, education, and a nurturing environment, we would be deeply grateful for any guidance or support in this regard.
